Rules of Conduct
Divapreneur is a lively and positive community. A community is only as good as its members. We screen our members prior to approval to ensure each member will be a contributing member of our network. We expect our members to respect each other and to behave as if they were in the board room. Please find below some guidelines to follow;

Community
- Do no use profanity, racial or sexist slurs of any kind.
- You may promote your business, ask questions and seek guidance within the community.
- You may be part or own other networks, joining our network for the purposes of spamming network friends with emails or invitations to other networks is strictly prohibited.
- We do not endorse any business on the network and advise you to use caution before signing up with any company. We will not be held liable in such a case.
- If you join our network and shortly after you open your own network, and your network is similar in nature, you will be banned.
- If you chose to do business with a member and have bad experience, you must try to solve it with that member. Any mention of it through our community, either through blogging or forums is strictly prohibited.
Profiles
- Please create only one profile.
Blogging
- You may blog to promote your business and advertise it
- You may add banner for your business as well as links to your business and blog.
- You may not use the blogs to promote or talk about other networks. No banners or links to other networks will be permitted.
- Bumping is not allowed. Bumping is reposting blogs to bump your post to the top of the Divapreneur home page. Bumping is not fair to your fellow Divas. Bumping could be done accidentally. Here is some help;
- After you correct your error on your post, at the bottom you will have time posting options.
- You will have the option to post now and an option to post at an earlier or later date.
- If you select an earlier time, or if you remember when you post it and select that, it will leave the post in its current position.
- You may blog about personal issues as long as nothing improper is said.
- You may not rant on a blog post. Use the forums if you must for that. Use the letters UC-stands for uncensored. Limit the discussion to venting. Hateful, racist and comments that are improper of a sexual nature will be deleted.
Soliciting
- SOLICITING of other members for donations, contributions or pledges of any kind within the Divapreneur Community is strictly prohibited. It is not appropriate to utilize the forums, blogs, page comments or private messaging/DP mail system to solicit. ANY SOLICITING SHOULD BE DONE COMPLETELY OUTSIDE OF THE DP COMMUNITY. Only Elaine, network creator or someone she delegates to manage official Divapreneur donations for official Divapreneur contests/awards will be permitted to request pledges on her behalf and on behalf of Divapreneur.
Respect
- Under no circumstances any member is to use our forums or blogs to preach, push political views, soliciting donation or making improper remarks will be banned.
Insubordination
- Anyone found challenging authority of the board room members or appointed moderators or officers could be banned. This includes but it`s not limited to;
- Manipulation of members
- Challening authority
- Monopolizing blog post for the purposes of pushing an agenda or vendetta
- Anyone found doing this will be banned immediately.
Spamming
- Anyone found sending emails either from groups or individually spamming member will be banned immediately. Those found doing so will prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Cyberstalking
- Anyone found following, harassing, watching and or violating the space of another member will be immediately banned.
Harassment
- Harassment of any kind will not tolerated. Any member sending communication which may be considered threatening, violent in nature, any act of abuse, email harrassment, leverage, name calling, harassing communication, libel- oral or written- will be banned.
- If you are a victim, please do the following;
- Keep the email or copies of the communication.
- Speak to one of the administrators or moderators. They may need to sign in to your account.
- We will handle the matter. We do not tolerate any kind of harassment and the guilty party will be banned.
- If you wish to prosecute the other party, we will comply only to law enforcement agencies or attorneys in the case.
Spying
- Any members found to be involved with another network, and joing our network for the purposes of spying will be banned immediately and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Honesty/Integrity in Business
- We expect our members to always conduct themselves with honesty and integrity. Anyone found conducting business dishonestly, defrauding members, soliciting improperly, lying to get sales or pushing sales (pushy salesperson)on to members will be banned.
- Sometimes you will do business with a client which is doing business with another member. Consult with the other member prior to doing business. If the client comes to you first, you must ask what other members is she doing business with. Always let the other party know.
- If you are doing business with a member, and a conflict ensues, you are expected to resolve it among yourself. Do not involve the community, admins or moderators or use the forums to vent, argue and gossip. You and the other member will be banned if this happens.
Gossip/Libel-Oral or Written
- Divapreneur does not tolerate any type of malicious spreading of destructive, dubious, offensive or morally reprehensible information about a member. Libel through blogging, forums, commenting and continuing such behavior in your own personal blog or other means can be pushinable by law. We will comply only to law enforcement agencies or attorneys in the case.
Violation of any of these rules could result on cancellation of your membership. We reserve the right to deny membership with or without good cause.
